Get Life OS

Your ELO

Your ELO is the AI at the heart of Life OS. It knows every number in the app, keeps a shift of its own, and does things for you, not just answers.

Talking to it

Type in the chat, hold the microphone to dictate, or tap the wave button for voice mode. Ask about your day in your own words: "How did I sleep?", "What should I eat tonight?", "Move my run to the morning".

What it can do in the app

  • Log meals, drinks, water and workouts from a sentence or a photo.
  • Add, move and tick off tasks; set reminders and routines.
  • Set your bedtime and the alarm, including for one date only.
  • Change your targets, your Home layout and your settings.
  • Text, email or call someone in your Contacts, after you approve it.

Every change it makes shows as a card in the chat with what it did, and all of it is in its activity.

Its shift

Your ELO does not wait to be asked. Through the day and night it works through a list of jobs: the news on your topics, tomorrow's calendar for clashes, your reminders, your health data, your people, the places you go, and anything you queued for its computer. Tap its face at the top of the chat to see what it is doing now and what it did today.

Routines

Ask for something on a schedule: "Every weekday at 8, brief me on AI news." See routines.

Your crew

Your ELO can hire other ELOs, each with one job that it keeps doing around the clock, even with your phone closed: "Have Juno brief me on AI news every morning", "Get someone on planning my dinners", "Hire Pip to find me ways to earn on the side". Each checks in every 2, 4, 6 or 12 hours or once a day, and tells you only when it finds something new, as a notification with its own face and a line in your chat. What it finds at night waits until morning. Open your ELO's profile, then Crew, to see each one's reports, check now, pause, change the job or let it go. Hiring ELOs is part of Pro and the 14-day trial: up to five at once.

Its own computer

For long jobs your ELO has a Linux computer of its own: research with sources, documents, spreadsheets, websites and small programs. Ask for the work in the chat; the files come back to Files in Life OS. Its computer is part of Pro.

Places

Ask for what is near ("a quiet café near me"), how long it takes to get somewhere, or where you were on a day. Where you were needs Remember where you were switched on in Settings, and is kept on your iPhone.

Permissions

Settings, then the section with your ELO's name (Sky and AI, for example), then What Sky can do: choose what it may do on its own and what it asks you first. Messages to other people always need your yes.

Its look and name

Open the ELO's profile from the chat: choose one of twelve ELOs, dress it, rename it, or make one from a photo. The voice follows the name and the look.
